Today we are on the second in a round of posts that talks all about the best ingredients in our cheesecakes. Like our Best Ingredients: Vanilla blog post, this post is going to focus on one ingredient that you can find in our products, a perennial and summer favorite — berries. Read on to find out more about where these delicious berries come from.
Our Very Berry Cheesecake is made with local Northwest grown blueberries, raspberries and marionberries from Sakuma Brothers, a farm located in the heart of Skagit Valley in Burlington, Washington. Sakauma Brothers is a family business that has spanned four generations and has over 85 years of experience in the small fruit industry. They are a certified strawberry nursery, and specialize in small fruit production, processing and fresh market sales. In addition, they also grown both conventional and organic berries which we plan to look into for future our cheesecakes. Let us know in the comments below if you would like to see an all organic cheesecake! Combining these berries with our signature NY batter and a chocolate cookie crust, you’ll be able to taste the Northwest in every bite of our Very Berry Cheesecake.
