Chuckanut Bay Foods is proud to announce that we have obtained our Level 2 SQF certification! Hooray!
So…what in the earth is SQF certification? SQF is an international food-safety certification organization. To obtain a certification, a facility must pass rigorous safety, cleanliness and production inspections that go above and beyond the US FDA standards of product quality.
It means that all our incoming materials also must be inspected before we start baking with them. We demonstrated superior allergen management, which is so important to our gluten-free customers. We test our products before we send them out the door. We closely monitor the environmental area where we store and work with products like eggs and dairy (which is pretty much everything!).
It means that our customers can be more assured than ever that our products are not only delicious, they’re manufactured to the highest product quality and safety standards. You can even view our audit record online!
