We thought it would be fun to look at the history of our popular single serve grab-n-go cheesecakes.  When we decided to launch the all-natural cheesecake in the individual size we felt the key was to have a unique label.  We came up with an idea that we thought would be a huge success, a pop-up label.  The thought was that the label would pop up when displayed and pull your eye over to the cakes.  Unfortunately, when we launched the labels we found that the labels just did stand upright on the store shelf as we had hoped and it ended up flat on top of the cakes.  Customers kept saying, why are you covering your beautiful “real” cheesecakes with a label.  So, the great idea we had just didn’t work.

BUT, the feedback helped us remember why customers liked our cakes.  The real cream cheese, eggs, butter, fruit, chocolate and other ingredients that made Chuckanut Bay Cheesecake so unique was what they wanted to see and eat.   So, we changed our labeling to our current style that allows you to see the entire top of the cake.  So, sometimes mistakes turn out to be positives.
